Sat. 06 July -Bike the Airline Trail, Westchester to East Hampton and return.  Meet at Park and Ride commuter parking area on CT Route 149, just off Route 2 Exit 16, in the North Westchester section of Colchester at 9 am.  Ice cream stop afterwards. Sun. 14 July -July 19 Pinkham Notch Rte 16 - Rattle River Rte.2 This will be a 3 day slack pack with plans to stay at the Rattle River Hostel. On Thurs. July 18 plans are to backpack from Rte. 302 Crawford Notch to Mt. Washington camping at the Nauman Tentsite/Mizpah Spring Hut. Will ride the Cog Railway down on Fri. July 19. Sat. 20 July - Pauchaug River/Beachdale Pond Paddle.  Explore the dammed up pond/Pachaug River with its marshlands known for waterfowl, marsh birds and swans.  Meet at 9am at the parking area on Route 49 right before entrance into Pachaug State forest.  If time allows, perhaps a small walk afterwards and ice cream at Buttonwoods Farm.  Level- easy. Fri Sept 13-Sun Sept 15 -  Drive up Friday night and camp at local campground.  Plan to hike on the AT on Saturday from East B Road Hill Rd, over Wyman Mtn and Moody Mountain to South Arm Road.  10.3 miles.  Level: Difficult.  Leader: Mandy Brink: trekeragb@sbcglobal.net or phone 860-237-7426.
