Sat. 5 Feb. - Mattatuck Trail- Meet 9:30 entrance to Black Rock S.P. Inclement weather we will hike on Sun. Feb. 6 same time and place. Mon. 14 Feb. Valentines's Day - Let's get our hearts pumping. Inviting all Sexagenarians, Septuagenarians and Octogenarians show your colors by wearing something RED. Plans are to meet 10:00 West Beach parking and walk to Megis Point. If you would like to join us but want to do a shorter walk please let me know where you will meet the group. Tues. 22 Feb.Meet 9:30 McLean Refuge - Plan to hike 5-6 miles or snowshoe. If we snowshoe we will use the dirt road into Spring Pond have lunch and return same way. This is a special number day. Sun. 6 Mar. - A loop hike around Mansfield Hollow Lake along the Mansfield Hollow Trail and Nipmuck Trail, Mansfield. Approx. 6 - 6.5 miles. Sarah O'Hare, seohare7@yahoo.com.

Wed. 9 Mar. Since the trails have been so icy I am going to do some walks on the Rails/Trails. Meet 9:30 Rails/Trails parking on Lazy Lane in Southington. Take I-84 west exit 32 follow Rte. 10 till you see Lazy Lane about 1 mile. Take right, just past the Police Station is parking. Plan to walk to Plantsville and back. approx. 5 miles. Wed. 16 Mar. Wed. Walkers - Meet 9:30 Burritt St. parking. Exit 29 off I-84 West this is a left hand exit. Take right at light onto Rte. 10 another right at next light Burritt ST. is right across from Firehouse. Plan to walk 5 miles south into Cheshire. Bring your hot beverage I will bring the muffins.
