Sat. 04 Aug.- Sun Aug. 5  Little Rock Pond/LT Danby, Vermont. Hike into the pond area and spend the night. This is the site where the idea of the CT. Sun Aug. 5  Breakneck Pond loop, Nipmuck State Forest, Union, Ct.  Although most of the hike is in NSF, we'll meet (at 10:00) in Bigelow Hollow State Park, at the trailhead at the north end of Bigelow Pond. Sat. 11 Aug. - Long Trail/Trail Magic Day. Arlington-Stratton Road at north end of our section of the LT.  Contact Dennis Himes for more information.

Thu. Aug 16 to Mon. Aug 20 - Backpacking the AT in NH.  Plans are to
drive up on Thursday night and stay at local campground.  On Friday we will
backpack the section of the AT, going in the 19 mile brook trail, over Carter
Dome To Imp Campground on Friday.  Friday night we will stay at a local
campground.  On Sunday plans are to finish the Presidential range.  Options to
take Cog Railway to Mt Washington to join AT or hike up Mt Jefferson to join
AT and hike over to Madison Hut for Sunday night.  Individuals are on their
own to make hut reservations and recommendations are to do it soon if
interested in this weekend.  Madison Spring Hut fills up quickly.  Hike out on

Sat. 15 Sept. - Natchaug Trail through hike.  We'll hike the entire length of the Natchaug Trail southbound in northeastern Connecticut (Ashford, Eastford, Hampton, and Chaplin). Sat. 22 Sept. - Day Hike at Tefftwald Land Preserve in North Stonington.  Meet at Mandy's at 10am.  Level Easy.  Hike 4-5 miles.  Bring a lunch to eat at the Pavilion.
