Sun. 14 July -July 19 Pinkham Notch Rte 16 - Rattle River Rte.2 This will be a 3 day slack pack with plans to stay at the Rattle River Hostel. On Thurs. July 18 plans are to backpack from Rte. 302 Crawford Notch to Mt. Washington camping at the Nauman Tentsite/Mizpah Spring Hut. Will ride the Cog Railway down on Fri. July 19. Sat. 20 July - Pauchaug River/Beachdale Pond Paddle. Explore the dammed up pond/Pachaug River with it's marshlands known for waterfowl, Marsh birds and swans. Meet at 9am at the parking area on Route 49 right before entrance into Pachaug State forest. If time allows, perhaps a small walk afterwards and ice cream at Buttonwoods Farm. Level- easy.
