Fri:July 18 to Sun:July 20 - Hike Mt Isolation in the White Mountains of New Hampshire on Sat: July 19. Tentative plans to hike the Glen Boulder Trail, about 11 miles. Plans are to meet up Friday night for an early morning start on Sat morning. A farmhouse has been booked in Conway for lodging for the weekend with cost to be split among those staying overnight for the weekend. Level: Difficult. More details to follow. Fri: Aug 1 – Sun: Aug 3 – Young Members White Mountains camping trip. We will camp in a yurt at Milan Hill State Park in northern New Hampshire and day hike a 4,000 footer of the group’s choosing. Sat. Aug 9 - Trail Magic - We will be providing trail magic where the Long Trail / Appalachian Trail crosses Kelly Stand Road (a little south of Stratton Mtn.). We'll set up some tables and hand out fruit, snacks, zip-loc bags, and whatever else we think thru-hikers would like. This usually lasts from mid-morning to mid-afternoon. Wed: Sept 17-Sat: Sept 27 - Adventure trip to New River Gorge National Park in West Virgina, Red River Gorge in Kentucky and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in NC/TN. Plans are to stay at group sites in the New River Gorge, in the Smoky Mountains NP to do a combination of group camping and two nights at the LeConte Lodge. Plans are to explore with day hikes, the wonders of these places.
