Sat. July 6 - Paddle Pachaug River. Meet at Boat Launch across the street from entrance into Pachaug Forest at 10am. Level: Easy. Leader: Mandy Brink - trekeragb56@gmail.com or 860-237-7426. I have extra kayaks if you'd like to paddle but need a kayak. Rain cancels.

Tues. - Wed. July 9-10 - Backpack to Bourn Pond, Sunderland, VT. An approximately 3 mile moderate hike along the Branch Pond Trail into the Bourn Pond Tenting Area. Spend the evening around the campfire sharing stories and listening for the loons. Sarah O'Hare, seohare7@yahoo.com, 860-502-0880.

Fri. July 26 - Sun. July 28 - Trail Maintenance - Work trip to maintain our section of the Long Trail and associated shelters. Specific projects will vary, but may include clipping brush, clearing waterbars, cutting up blowdowns, and light carpentry. Sat. Aug 10 - Trail Magic - We will be providing trail magic where the Long Trail / Appalachian Trail crosses Kelly Stand Road (a little south of Stratton Mtn.). We'll set up some tables and hand out fruit, snacks, zip-loc bags, and whatever else we think thru-hikers would like. This usually lasts from mid-morning to mid-afternoon.
