Sun. 5 Apr. - Day hike, Hike around Green Falls Pond and then join the Nehantic Trail to hike to Route 49 in Pachaug State Forest. Meet at the Green Falls trail head at 12 noon. Sat. 11 Apr. [Easter Weekend] - Hike the western part of McLean Game Refuge. Hike about 4 miles on blazed trails as well as unblazed terrain - this hike will require bushwacking. Sat. 18 Apr. -Lowden Brook Trail Loop. Pachaug State Forest. Meet at Youth Area parking lot at 9am in Pachaug SF. Level; Moderate. Sun. 10 May - CANCELED Bird and Flower Walk at White Memorial Foundation, Litchfield, CT. On this walk our attention will be focused on looking for wildflowers and birds, in particular warblers, as well as listening for bird songs. The distance we'll walk could be 5 to 6 miles however this is a guesstimate. Bring binoculars and bird and wildflower identification books.
