Sat. 9 Apr. -Mattabesett Trail Meet 9:00 Aircraft Rd. in Middletown. Plan to hike to Rte 154 making a loop with the Seven Falls Loop. When we return to our cars those who want to hike more can, we will hike part of the Bear Hill Loop and return back to Aircraft Rd. on the Mattabesett Trail. 4-6 miles. Level Moderate. L. Carol A. Wed. April 20 - April 27: Backpacking in Shenandoah Mt on the AT in VA. 33 mile section from Front Royal south. Also option to camp at Big Meadows and day hike if you have a desire to come and see the area but don't want to backpack. Level of difficulty Medium to difficult. Sun. 15 May - Mon. 16 May - Backpack. MA AT, Webster Road north to Upper Goose Pond, approx. 5.5 miles, spend the night and return. A shorter option into Upper Goose Pond is possible.
