-Sun: April 9 Palm Sunday Hike Harriman S.P. this is a hike that was started by the New York Section of the GMC. This will be a joint hike with the New Haven Hiking Club. Carpooling encouraged. Turn left onto Beaverbrook Rd, just past Lyme School. ​ After 2.7 miles turn left again onto Gungy Rd.  The park entrance is 1 mile down this road on the right. ​ Parking near gated road into park.  Hike is 4 miles. -Sat: June 10 - Annual GMC meeting in Vermont. ​ The annual meeting is being hosted by the Breadloaf Section and will be at the Common Ground Center in Starksboro. ​ Events begin on Friday and go through Sunday at noon.  See the Long Trail News for the schedule of events. ​+Sat, June 3 - The Sleeping Giant, Hamden. ​ Meet at 7am on Tuttle Rd to tower to cook breakfast. After breakfast, hike tower trail into park and hike out on the yellow&​horse trail. 8-9 miles. Option to shorten. Beat the heat and the hikers. Bring own breakfast and beverage.
