Sun. April 7 - Tues. April 9 GMC Jean Haigh Cabin on Wheeler Pond near Barton Vermont. Two nights, enclosed cabin with wood stove, bunks for 8-10 people. Hike or snowshoe on area trails, depending on snow conditions. Coincides with a total solar eclipse in northern Vermont on the afternoon of Monday April 8. Fri. June 21 - Sun June 23 - Trail Maintenance - Work trip to Story Spring Shelter. Projects will consist of improving drainage around the shelter and maintenance of the Long Trail in the vicinity. This is the first phase of repairs to Story Spring Shelter. This posting will be updated to reflect changes in plans due progress on this project or due to the disruption of weather.
